Salvage of sunken Penn Cove ship delayed

The state Department of Ecology has announced that it will be Sunday, at the earliest, before salvage crews can remove a sunken crab boat from the bottom of Penn Cove, off Whidbey Island. The leaking derelict has forced the closure of commercial and recreational shellfish from the area for more than two weeks. Category: Reports
