Was it worth it the hassle? Seattle hip-hop star Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have just released the video for their newest single “White Walls”, the video that shut down Capitol Hill when the chart-toppers shot it on Broadway in July.
Thousands turned out to be a part of the video, an homage to Seattle hip-hop king Sir-Mix-A-Lot’s legendary “Posse on Broadway.” It features the duo and their crew cruising Broadway and dancing atop Dick’s Drive In.
Macklemore and Lewis’ “The Heist” recently went platinum, selling over one million copies. The hit singles “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us” both topped the Billboard Hot 100, while “Same Love,” the third single from the album, climbed to number three on the charts.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis launch a North American arena tour in October that culminates with a three-night run at KeyArena in December.
